How does participation work in this group?
There actually will be a lot that happens behind closed curtains, keeping track of data, but for yourself, these are the things you will need to know~

Fragment002 will use a level system to keep track of each Player Character's activity and participation.
All Player Characters will start at Lv1, and progress linearly level-wise from there, with only a 100-exp threshold per level. (meaning that leveling does not become more difficult the farther you progress. As this is not an actual game, it would not be practical to set diminishing values to your activity.)
Experience points (exp) are awarded for the following:
~Completing events:
Throughout the story of Fragment002, there will be many events for your Player Character to participate in. These events are not designed to be burdensome, but rather to provide inspiration and story material relating to The World//Fragment002. Events will provide the most exp upon completion and is always strongly recommended. Although specific details will vary from event to event, most of them will be simple, and can be done as either a single deviation or as a comic.
~Independent, group-related deviations:
These are the deviations that would be submitted into the "Memes","The World", or the "Real World" folders of the gallery. They are the pieces relating to Fragment002 you're able to do in your own time.
These do not contribute as much exp as events do, but because you are theoretically able to do as many as you'd like, the exp can build up from these works.
Deviations in these categories should mention Fragment002 in the artist commentary and have a brief explanation concerning what is being depicted in the artwork in order to receive credit.
There is no set value as to how much exp is given per submission, but as we value quality over quantity, good-quality, single submissions will be rewarded much more than multiple, quickly-scribbled submissions.
~Forum roleplay:
Nyxira-Ulwun is creating a forum site for Fragment002 for those who would like to participate in literary roleplay. I'll update with news when things are finalized.
Most likely, anything contributing to exp from forum rp will be minimal. Although Fragment002 is a .hack roleplay group, we are not going to require active roleplay in the group, nor are we going to punish those who don't.
As a Player Character, your progress is not solely measured in level-count only! There are other things your character can potentially brag about!
~PK Infamy: Some of your Player Characters are bloodthirsty demons. If you'd like, you can make your character a fearsome Player Killer, and possibly earn yourself a name and reputation unlike any other.
Draw it, roleplay it... show how truly devastating your Player Character can be in the rush of a bloody skirmish!
Also to note - accumulating a high amount of infamy may affect the way your character interacts with The World.
~Dungeons: Special instances will be opened regularly. Show your character completing the instance! Your Player Character may even receive a rare item! See how many you can collect!
Note - Rare items include high-tiered weapons and equipment. All items can be traded, but in order for a trade to occur, both parties must confirm their agreement to such a transaction.
~Arena Titles: How would you like to be an Emperor of your very own palace? Your Player Character in fact may have their own opportunity to claim their right as Emperor with the opening of the Tournament Arenas! Test your skill against other Player Characters for the coveted crown and the unique title.
Note - Tournament Arenas are not yet released. Participation in the Tournament Arena events are not required, either. Tournament Arena events will be held and managed in the same manner as any standard Original Character Tournament (OCT), and there will be prizes. More information will be provided when the event is ready.
